The Hunt Museum has added GECAS, a world-leading aviation lessor and financier, headquartered in Westpark, Shannon, County Clare, as its latest corporate partner.
Commenting on the partnership, John Ludden, Chief General Counsel and GECAS’ executive vice president said:
“We are delighted to announce this partnership with the Hunt Museum, one of the finest cultural institutions in the Limerick and mid-West region. GECAS already has a strong connection to the museum as Dr. Tony Ryan the founder of Guinness Peat Aviation, the company in which we trace our roots, was a driving force in its establishment twenty-one years ago. We therefore look forward to supporting and contributing to the success of this important centre of culture and heritage.”
Speaking at the announcement, Dr. Jill Cousins, Director and CEO of the Hunt Museum said:
“This partnership with GECAS directly supports us as a centre of learning and civic life, attracting, educating, and inspiring local communities, schoolchildren and tourists from far and wide. It helps us to continue the work started by Tony Ryan of using our world class collections, expertise and knowledge for positive social and economic impact, enhancing the value of Limerick and region . We hugely welcome GECAS as a patron, leading the way for other corporates in the region.”
